Seattle's best, which is owned by Starbucks does provide for a less "over roasted" taste of coffee. Cheaper in price but not on every corner like Starbucks. One of things that bothers me is that they make the drink, but give it to your without a cover and you have to put your own cardboard holder. It could be a new idea but when you are in a rush, having to do all the extra "Stuff" does slow you down.

Today was the first time that I went to this location. At first I didn't know where they were until I asked Scott K. Thank you. It's located in the NEX to the left right after you get off of the escalator. They were not busy and the lady that worked there Leilani, was very friendly. I'm still not used to getting my own cover for my drinks. This is one of the few places that you have to put on yourself. I wonder the reason they do that is because some people like to add extra sugar etc to their drinks? It's less of a hassle that the customer has to take off the cover I guess. I love getting their teas. I like the sweet tea and the strawberry sweet tea. I tried orange mango and eww I was not happy with the taste I think it would be better if it was plain mango.

This is my favorite coffee joint in my favorite location on the second level of the Navy Exchange (NEX) complex, left of the escalators near the NEX entrance. Baristas are *usually* very cordial, but there were a couple occasions where I got loads of attitude and I don't know why?! Could it be one did not like my tone or how I look...hmmm? I usually get there before crowds so I never had an issue with waiting long for my order to me whipped up. I haven't been disappointed with anything I've ordered there. I take a liking to the holiday flavors - pumpkin spice latte, gingerbread latte, peppermint mocha. The java kulas and sweet tea are also very good. The coffee beans aren't over roasted and appeal to any level from light to espresso roasts. I keep going back because the occasional disservice is minute compared to the quality of food and drink there.

Junk drinks. Ever since they did away with their red tea, I've had no reason to go here. After doing some damage at the NEX this past Sunday, I was exhausted and wanted a little pick-me-up. Seeing as how Seattle's Best was the only coffee place around, I caved and decided to try their Pumpkin Pie Latte, since I heart the Pumpkin Spice Latte @ Starbie's, so I figured I'd compare the two. In case you want to know, the winner is Starbie's PSL, hands down! The one here at SB was way too sweet for my liking... ack! I don't normally get whipped cream w/ my PSL's, but I opted to this time, b/c the barista said they use a special pumpkin flavored whipped cream... meh, couldn't even taste it (liars!); Idk if that's what made the latte extra sweet, but either way, the drink was not good. I had two of my friends try it (one of which has a crazy sweet tooth and looooves her sugar), and they both agreed that it was too sweet. I guess the barista who made my drink had a heavy hand, when it comes to pumping those syrups! Anyway, another thing to note was that I had ordered this drink with soy milk, but ended up getting it with skim milk, since all their soy milk was frozen!! Really??! Fail. If I was lactose, they would've lost a customer right there. Onto the service... it was par at best. When I first approached the counter, all three workers were just hanging out in the back, cruisin' and talkin' story. *Ahem* 'scuse me, can I get some service here? It took them a good second or two to notice that I was there. Okay, I get it, it's Sunday, so no big deal. But the lack of readily available soy milk, in addition to the diabetes-inducing drink? No bueno. I'll spend my $$ at one of the other coffee chains, thank you very much. If you want better taste and service, do yourself a favor and just go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean... anyplace but here.

I've been here like three times now and must have been lucky cause the baristas have always been nice , I have had them joke around and even offer to make a drink that they technically don't have anymore. Ever coffee that I have tried so far have been good. You can't beat the convenience of being upstairs in the food court of the nex.

I should of just ordered my frozen drink from Starbucks. A waste of my $5. Ordered a mint cookies n cream frozen drink. No mint, ok, no problem, no biggie. Barista starts to make my drink only to forget that I had ordered a frozen drink. So he dumps contents in blender. Normally, a barista at Starbucks would just toss the drink n start from scratch, but not this guy. He then gives me my drink with no whip. I asked about the whip, and he says they're out. Really?! 3 barista's doing nothing, but waiting around for customers, and that's all he has to say, No whip. Wow! Not impressed with my drink. super sweet and no whip. The station was dirty, and counter top where they serve ur drink could use a good wiping. Overall, never coming back again!

visited the NEX with my dad and decided to get some coffee. i really like seattle's best coffee. coffee great. staff here - not happening. i went up to order and the girl working told me they were closed for 15 min. an eternity in coffee time. turns out the person on the next shift was late. about 20min later i finally get a cup of house coffee. all kinds of floating crap in it (maybe debris from the coffee grounds). i had to get outta there to make a meeting, so i couldn't have it exchanged. i've been here a few times and the staff i encounter are usually chatting with each other while taking your order. i don't mind the conversation at all, but i mind the dismissive treatment. i'll dismiss the tip.

Must've come on the wrong day here. Despite there being 3 people working and me being the only customer, I had to wait at least 10 minutes for my chocolate crunch frappe ( I teasingly told my wife that it was a crapp'e before I ordered it). Do NOT order this if you come here, as the "crunch" is coffee grounds! The drink starts off being unbearably sweet, then as you drink it down, is literally munching on raw coffee grounds. Ick. And I usually like Seattle's Best...

I like Seattle's best almost entirely on the Java Kula's. Mainly the mint one, even if they don't have the "green" mint cream like in the mainland (I'm assuming), because I like how its made, balanced out and got a good caffeine punch to it. If I need to wake up, I can seriously rely on their coffee to get the job done. Its a bit more expensive than coffee bean and starbucks, but its pretty good, and you shouldn't need to "or rely" on caffiene too much anyway. Sometimes though.... Its way too much and I'm up for hours when I feel like I shouldn't be.... So I still think I'd take coffee bean first. But I do like when they get seasonal drinks here at seattle's best. This location is just a mini kiosk built into the wall. It feels easier to approach than the one at pearl ridge. Usually if there's no customer out waiting for a drink, it seems as if other people shy away or something until one person goes first and they all follow,
